In our Main Themes part, a broader subject than the 9 already defined, was missing. Indeed, given the acceleration the political scene (among others), that we are witnessing at all levels, we find, at our disposal, more and more analyzes and dissections of the State of the world... "Choisir l'Avenir" or "Choosing the Future" is one of them, written by Nicole Gnesotto, Vice-President of the Jacques Delors Institute and Professor emeritus at the CNAM. It was published in 2024 by CNRS Editions. It asks good questions about the "global chaos", the decline of democracy, the return of war in the West, the place of Europe in the midst of the current upheavals...
